Ads

Google and its ad partners receive your IP address, device and browser details and the page you’re on. In the apps they also receive your device’s advertising ID; on iPhone, only if you allow tracking.

Your account

When you sign in with Apple or Google: your name, email and Apple or Google account ID.

Alerts (apps)

A push token, a device ID and your alert choices, saved to your account while you’re signed in.

FV Pro

Whether it’s active, your plan and renewal date.

Race Engineer

Your question, which our AI provider answers.

Server logs

Your IP address, for security.

Download protection

A temporary random session code and short-lived network counters help limit automated downloads. The code stays in your current app or browser session, expires after two hours and is not linked to an account or used for advertising.

Accounts, alerts, FV Pro and Race Engineer are optional. Security checks protect the service for everyone.

On website pages with an ad, Google and its partners use cookies to show ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Where the law requires it, Google asks for your consent first; change your choice with Privacy and cookie settings on a page with an ad, or Cookies in the footer.

The apps show Google ads too. Where the law requires it, Google asks for your consent before the first one; change your choice with Ad choices in Settings. On iPhone, change whether FV may track you in your iPhone’s Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Only providers that run FV for us receive data, and each protects it at least as well as this policy:

• Google, for ads on the website and in the apps, and asking for consent
• Apple and Google, for sign-in and for delivering alerts
• Hosting, network and security providers that run the website, our server and app downloads
• An AI provider, for Race Engineer answers and news summaries
• A subscription provider, for FV Pro purchases

International transfers

These providers may process data outside the UK and EEA, including in the US, under safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

• Ads: under Google’s policies
• Account and FV Pro record: until you delete your account
• Sign-in sessions: until you sign out, or 30 days unused
• Push token, device ID and alert choices: until you turn alerts off or delete your account
• Server logs: 14 days
• Anonymous download passes: two hours; network counters use a code that changes daily
• Backups of the account and alerts databases: up to 12 weeks

In the app or on the website

1. Open your avatar, or Settings in older versions.
2. Under Account, at the bottom, tap Delete account and type DELETE.
3. Choose Verify & delete, then verify with the same Apple or Google account.

Your account, its sessions, its FV Pro record, your alert choices and your devices’ push tokens are deleted from our server, and from backups within 12 weeks. This can’t be undone.

An FV Pro subscription is billed by the App Store, Google Play or the web checkout: cancel it there, as deleting your account doesn’t end it.

Can’t open the app? Email us from the address on your account: request deletion.

Email us to use them. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or to your local data protection authority.
